A: All cards are sent via first class mail within 4 business days.  Card orders received by 1:00 AM(mountain time) on Monday will be mailed on Tuesday or sooner.  Card orders received by 1:00 AM on Thursday will be mailed on Friday or sooner.

Q: How long will it take for my card to arrive?

A: For cards sent to US addresses, the Postal Service estimates that cards will arrive 2-3 days after they are mailed.  International delivery times can vary widely, and the US Postal Service currently does not provide estimated first class mail delivery times for international addresses.

Q: What is the print quality of your cards?

A: All of our cards are printed on high end, professional equipment.  Every card is 5 inches by 7 inches folded, and printed on #100 cover weight card stock. In short, you should expect the print quality of your card to be as good or better than a card you would find at the store.

Q: Why does the card art look grainy when I am customizing a card?

A: The card customizer shows you a much lower resolution image than what is ultimately printed.  This is to reduce the bandwidth needs of the service, and to help us to better manage our intellectual property.

Q: Is Big Heart Cards a non-profit organization?

A: No, Big Heart Cards is a for-profit LLC, but we do believe that every business has a responsibility to make a positive difference.  We give 10% of our profits to the charities that our customers choose because it is the right thing to do.

Q: Where do you get your card designs?

A: Most of our card designs have been created by a small group of very talented freelance artists, and some of our designs were created using licensed stock images from www.dreamstime.com.  If you are a designer and would be interested in creating greeting cards for BigHeartCards.com, send us an email at designs@bigheartcards.net .

Q: How much money goes to charity, and how is this calculated?

A: Every month, we calculate our profits for that month, and then multiply that number by 10% to calculate that month’s total contribution amount.  In months where we lose money (hopefully we won’t have many months like that), or make less than $1,000, we set our contribution at $100 for the month.

Then, we divide up that contribution based on the cards sent and the charities chosen.  For example, let’s say our monthly donation was $1,000, and we sold 1,000 cards that month.  If 300 of those cards were sent by customers who chose The American Cancer Society as their charity, then we would set aside $300 for that agency, and would include those funds in the check we sent them at the end of the quarter.

Q: My favorite charity isn’t one of your choices.  Why not?

A: We try to offer a broad list of charities to choose from, but let’s face it, there are a lot of worthy causes out there, and we just offer all of them as choices.  If you feel strongly that we have overlooked an important one, we would love to hear from you at feedback@bigheartcards.com .  If we hear from enough people, we can always consider adding that charity as one of our choices.

Q: I have a dialup connection, and your service doesn't work with my connection.  What can I do.

A: Unfortunately, our service requires more bandwidth than a dialup connection provides, and won't work with a dialup connection.
